New case study by JCM Global and Volumatic

JCM Global has completed an informative case study into one of its most unusual projects, alongside Volumatic, a global leader in the design, manufacture and implementation of intelligent cash-handing solutions serving the retail, banking and leisure industries.
The case study follows the progress of the project from 2003, when Volumatic first approached JCM Global looking for a product which could accept, verify and store cash ready for banking at the point of sale. JCM Global created a prototype, which would later become the CCi – the CounterCache Intelligent – a solution which checks banknotes for forgeries, counts and stores cash at the till point and then transfers the notes into a tamper-evident sealed pouch ready for banking.
Today there are over 40,000 CCi units being operated around the world and they have proved to be extremely reliable. JCM Global continues to work closely with Volumatic on enhancing the CCi offer, most recently in replacing the note reader heads on more than 30,000 units to prepare them for new polymer banknotes in the UK. Volumatic is now JCM Global’s biggest customer.
